2021 | 07.–11. März, Cape Town

International Congress for Human Genetics
Coming Home

The meeting is being held under the auspices of the International Federation of Human Genetics Societies (IFHGS) and is co-hosted by the continental –African Society of Human Genetics, and the regional Southern African Society of Human Genetics.

Cape Town – the host city – is amongst the world’s best-to-visit cities. Kindly visit the conference website for information to assist you in planning your trip to the conference as well tourist information about other exciting parts of the continent.

Apart from the scientific content, which promises to be stellar, this is a remarkable opportunity for colleagues, students and trainees to travel to an exotic and relatively affordable destination. We are also planning a full day for a Young Researcher’s Forum, which will highlight the research of young postgraduates – and encourage their engagement.

An important aspect of this conference is to dynamically engage you at all levels - international students, trainees as well as professionals in our exciting field of Human Genetics (and sub-disciplines of Medical Genetics, Bioinformatics, amongst others). We would love to have your input on items to feature at the conference: this includes topics for presentation, special scientific sessions, workshops, speakers, and forums and formats of presentations. A special facility is available on our website to capture your ideas and suggestions – we urge you to engage with us in order to help us finalize the conference layout by July 2019 and to make this an enjoyable and productive meeting.
